Busser/Dishwasher

Job Overview

The Busser/Dishwasher plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dining environment. This position supports both the front and back of house by resetting tables quickly, assisting servers, and ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and able to keep up with fast-paced breakfast rushes.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusser Duties

• Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure tables are properly set according to Pur & Simple standards (cutlery, napkins, condiments, etc.).
• Assist servers by delivering water, coffee refills, or additional items when needed.
• Keep dining room, drink stations, and service areas clean and well stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness of front-of-house areas including floors, counters, and high-touch surfaces.
• Assist with guest requests when appropriate and provide friendly, attentive service.

Dishwasher Duties

• Operate commercial dishwasher safely and efficiently.
• Wash dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, and pans according to sanitation standards.
• Properly sort, dry, and store clean items in their designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of dish pit, including sinks, floors, and equipment.
• Take out garbage and recycling as needed, following restaurant procedures.
• Ensure steady availability of clean dishes during busy service periods.

Cleanliness & Safety

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and report any equipment issues immediately.
• Participate in daily and weekly cleaning tasks for both front and back of house.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work closely with servers, line cooks, and managers to support fast and efficient service.
• Communicate when supplies or dishware are running low.
• Assist with additional duties during peak times to support overall restaurant operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during breakfast rush hours.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• No prior experience required—training provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
