Position: Residential & Commercial Cleaner (Light Duty Cleaner I)

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Job Type: Part-Time

Work Schedule: Sundays to Fridays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Location Type: In Person

Overview

We are seeking dedicated, detail-oriented residential and commercial cleaners to join our team. As a cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across a variety of client spaces. Your commitment to delivering exceptional service will directly contribute to client satisfaction and the overall success of our operations.

Compensation & Training

Training Duration: 4 weeks

Training Rate: CAD $16.00/hour

Post-Training Rate: CAD $17.00/hour

Training Includes:

Hands-on instruction in cleaning protocols

Safety procedures and equipment handling

Time management and task sequencing

Client service standards and communication

Performance reviews and feedback checkpoints

Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning Duties

Dust all surfaces including furniture, fixtures, and wall-mounted items

Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture

Mop hard floors using approved cleaning solutions

Sanitize high-touch surfaces (e.g., doorknobs, light switches, countertops)

Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces using streak-free methods

Empty and reline garbage and recycling bins

Bathroom Cleaning

Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, and faucets

Wipe and polish mirrors and dispensers

Mop floors and wipe baseboards

Refill soap, tissue, and hygiene supplies

Report any plumbing or fixture issues

Kitchen & Breakroom Cleaning

Clean inside and outside of appliances (microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee maker)

Wipe countertops, tables, and cupboard surfaces

Wash and dry dishes; organize dish drainers

Remove expired food and sanitize food storage areas

Refill paper towels, dish soap, and other consumables

Passageways & Entry Areas

Sweep and mop hallways, staircases, and entry mats

Dust furniture and wall decor

Ensure all areas are free of debris and polished

Procedural Guidelines

Use cleaning supplies stored in designated cupboards (kitchen, bathroom, or beside kitchen)

Follow approved cleaning methods and time allocations for each area

Use timers or checklists to stay on schedule

Return all supplies to storage after use

Complete final checks to ensure all areas are guest-ready

Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor

Maintain respectful and professional communication with clients and team members

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of cleaning experience (residential or commercial)

Secondary School education (required)

Strong attention to detail and time management

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing

English language proficiency (required)

Valid driver's license may be required for mobile positions

Must have a reliable mode of transportation for work.

Needs a criminal record check for employment.
