At Invincible Kids, we specialize in mindset development and emotional growth for children and teens. Using story-based tools, visual frameworks, and creative, play-based activities, we help young people shift unhelpful thought patterns, build confidence, manage big emotions, and navigate friendships with clarity and compassion.

About the Role

We're looking for a warm, confident, kid-magnet facilitator to work primarily with children ages 4–9 in one-to-one sessions and small group workshops. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely loves early years — who can meet a child at their level, make learning feel like play, and still guide meaningful emotional growth.

You'll help children build foundational skills like:

• Confidence and healthy self-talk
• Emotional regulation (big feelings, transitions, frustration tolerance)
• Social skills and friendship dynamics (sharing, boundaries, confidence in groups)
• Resilience, independence, and "I can do hard things" thinking

You Are

• Naturally engaging with young kids (you can hold attention, build trust, and make it fun)
• Warm, playful, emotionally attuned, and calm under pressure
• Creative and adaptable - you can shift gears quickly based on the child's needs
• Comfortable partnering with parents (brief debriefs, gentle guidance, clear communication)
• Organized enough to plan sessions and track progress
• Committed to your own personal growth and development

Qualifications

We're especially interested in applicants who have both early years strength and recognized credentials.

Required:

• Background in early childhood/education/counselling/psychology/child development (or related)
• Experience working with children ages 4–9 (1:1 and/or small groups)
• Strong communication skills with both children and parents
• Comfortable working collaboratively and following session plans/frameworks
• Available for in-person work in Calgary (some virtual may be included)

To support parent reimbursement/claims (important):

• You must hold a designation/registration that is commonly recognized by extended health benefits and be able to provide receipts with your credentials/registration number, where applicable.(Coverage varies by plan, but we are intentionally hiring for claim-friendly credentials.)

Examples of relevant registrations/designations may include (depending on your background):

• Registered Psychologist / Provisional Psychologist
• Registered Social Worker (RSW)
• Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) / Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
• Other regulated designations eligible for benefit reimbursement

Bonus If You Have

• Strong play therapy–informed skills or child-led facilitation style
• Experience with story-based learning, visuals, and emotional language development
• Skills in expressive arts, drama, mindfulness, or somatic/energy-based approaches
• Experience supporting children with anxiety, perfectionism, big emotions, or social struggles
