Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing company based in Pointe - Claire, Quebec, is looking for a detail-oriented and bilingual Expediter to join their evolving purchasing and logistics team in the office. This is an exciting administrative opportunity to play a key role in entering and updating purchase orders, supplier contact, and organizing order records. With a culture built on innovation, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm order status of deliveries and communicate delivery dates to affected departments.
  • Review all open purchase orders, enter in all order details from suppliers into the business systems.
  • Monitor the flow of deliveries ensuring timely delivery, communicating with the transportation companies to preclude delays in transit.
  • Make arrangements for the distribution of materials upon arrival.
  • Follow company's health and safety policies and regulations.

Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in French and English, excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • 1+ years of training and experience in a similar position is required.
  • Knowledge of expedited, LTL, air and cartage disciplines is well regarded.
  • Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent team player, self motivated and ability to prioritize.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
