Spartan Response is actively recruiting to fill several positions for our ON CALL/PART TIME FIELD OPERATIONS RESPONDERS based out of our Hamilton office.

As Spartan Response operates 24/7, year-round, this role provides you with the opportunity to accept shifts that align with your current commitments. We provide candidates with the required training, diverse industry experience and the opportunity for advancement.

Our ideal candidates MUST be team & safety oriented, have strong communication skills and open to support field assignments across our various service lines. Candidates must also have good flexibility/availability in their current schedule to support a range of client mandates (days, evenings, nights, weekend, holidays).

**JOB DESCRIPTION & AVAILABILTY REQUIREMENTS:

Field Operations - Responders

Operating in a team environment, Responders provide a wide range of service/job functions on client job sites. Spartan Responders are scheduled for shifts to support (based on their level of certification/experience) the various services we offer:

  • Confined Space & Standby Rescue (Attendants, Rescuers)
  • Industrial Cleaning (Vacuum Trucks, Tank Cleaning, Pressure Wash)
  • Hazmat Response (Decontamination, Site-Clean-Ups)
  • Emergency Spill Response
  • Supplied Air Support
  • General Labour & Shop Support
  • Follows Spartan Response Health & Safety Program Policies & Procedures.
  • Follows Code of Conduct/EHS policies on client sites for PPE, security, training, orientations and policies.
  • Detail oriented to ensure all job-related documentation is accurate.
  • Timely submission of Work Orders & Time Sheets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Availability:

  • Candidates must have good availability throughout December- February.
  • Candidates must be able to attend 3-4 days of onboarding training: Late November and early/mid December.

Candidates that have any of the following VALID certifications are preferred, however, Spartan Response provides training to candidates to prepare them for the field.

  • Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Working at Heights
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
  • Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO)
  • WHMIS

Licenses:

  • Drivers License – Clean abstract (miniumum)
  • DZ License a Bonus

Hours of Work:

  • PART-TIME/On-Call, Flexible
  • Shift work – Morning, Afternoon, Evenings, Weekends & Holidays
