Position: Food Services Associate (Part-Time)
Facility: Ripley's Aquarium of Canada Reports to: Manager of Food Services
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Manager of Food Services, the Food Services Associate is responsible for:
- Accurately overseeing cash flow by monitoring proper record of transactions with the use of the Point of Sale system.
- Monitoring the vending machine operations throughout the aquarium to ensure the machines are always stocked and operating correctly.
- The individual will also be responsible for ensuring that all food items are neatly stocked, all counters are tidy, and that all the eating areas are cleaned.
- Additionally the Associate is stationed in the Discovery Centre area to interact with Guests and provides assistance as required.
Please remember that due to the nature of our business, we work when others play in an attraction that is open 365 days of the year You will be expected to be regularly available to work any shift during, before or after the hours of operation.
Critical Accountabilities:
- Continual monitor the vending machines to ensure they operating correctly.
- Immediately deal with any guest issues including re-starting the vending machine and offering refunds as necessary.
- If a vending machine breakdowns immediately contact:
- Facilities MOD for the RAC owned vending machines
- The emergency contact number for third party vending machines.
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to our guests
- Promote positive colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication trust, mutual respect and fun
- Follow all safety policies
- Take lead in answering any guest inquiries and quickly dealing with any guest recovery that may arise
- Other duties as assigned.
Special Skills and Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and in a fast-paced team environment
Pay Rate: $19.06/hourly
