Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Assistant Store Manager will assist in supervising staff, managing daily operations, and implementing merchandising strategies to meet business goals.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Lead and supervise sales associates, providing coaching and training to enhance team performance.
• Manage merchandising efforts to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotional displays.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff members.
• Oversee payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks accurately.
• Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and inventory management.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase store traffic and sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing to maintain stock availability.
• Implement sales management techniques to achieve sales targets and improve store profitability.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support staff development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising, pricing strategies, and cash handling procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and sales management is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams, manage payroll, and handle administrative tasks such as bookkeeping.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building positive customer relationships.
• Knowledge of marketing techniques relevant to retail settings is advantageous. Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
