Job Summary

As a well established authentic Japanese restaurant in keswick. we pride ourselves on providing great food and excellent customer service.We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience by efficiently taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, creating a positive first impression.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation.
  • Monitor tables for guest satisfaction and respond to any requests or concerns.
  • Sanitize tables, utensils, and other dining areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and food handling guidelines.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Handle cash and process payments accurately at the end of the meal.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with POS systems for order processing is beneficial.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by the role.
