This role focuses on meeting participants where they are at, building relationships with participants, determining needs, identifying barriers, conducting housing searches while building and maintaining landlord relationships as well as the creation of a housing stock portfolio.  The Housing Finder position requires knowledge of the housing market, strong communication skills, collaboration, problem solving and attention to detail. This role also requires a strong knowledge of Housing First philosophy, with a trauma informed approach and understanding how to have crucial conversations are essential to the position.  You will also be responsible for ensuring units meet bylaws and the building code act, assessing cleaning and repairs required in all units and utilization of advocacy skills in initial viewings with landlords on behalf of participants.  This position also requires preparing and maintaining statistical data, compiled on an on-going basis to assist in identifying trends and developing strategies to navigate them.  This position will work with individuals from diverse populations and cultures and will approach situations from a restorative lens.  This position calls for a dynamic, creative professional who can engage landlords strategically, understand housing market trends, employ strong negotiation skills and work collaboratively with community partners to achieve the HART Hub mandate.

This position will be responsible for the safety and security of participants, co-workers and community during employment. In this position, it is essential to work effectively alongside colleagues from other community agencies to assist participants in navigating the HART Hub and London's housing system as a whole.
