The Position
With a strong pipeline of projects secured, we are seeking a highly motivated Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing Vancouver team.
As a key member of our team, you will lead the design and delivery of fire protection systems for a variety of small, medium, and large-scale building projects. This includes sprinkler systems, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities within the office and contribute to our continued growth and success in the Vancouver market.

Who And What We're Looking For
- Legally entitled to live and work in Canada.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a demonstrated minimum of 4 years of experience in fire protection design, enabling them to serve as the project's Engineer of Record.
- Proficiency in Revit is highly desirable.
- Proven experience across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of relevant fire protection codes and standards (NFPA, building codes, etc.).
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation tools.
- Ability to verify design work completed by others and provide mentoring, coaching, and training to less experienced engineers.
- Experience with field review of mechanical and plumbing installations with the ability to defect work and provide quality inspections on behalf of NDY or the client.
- Strong technical background that you want to continue to build on with experience across different market sectors including residential, office, education and the like.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients.
