Summary

We are currently recruiting a Business Analyst Summer Student to join our Business Intelligence team in Calgary for the summer of 2026 (work term duration of 4, 8 or 12 months). Reporting to the manager of the Business Intelligence team, the Business Analysts will collaborate with team members and key business stakeholders to deliver business insights to our internal customers. The successful candidates will bring their passion for analytics and data visualization to the team to support the delivery of analytics content that drives increased efficiency and improved decision making.

Role And Responsibilities

Business Requirement Elicitation

Participate as a member of the team in conducting interviews with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for efficiency gains or delivering insights.
Analytic Product Design and Development

Collaborate with team members to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Data Analysis and Visualization

Create data visualizations (Stories and Dashboards) in SAP Analytics Cloud
Deliver ad-hoc data products to customers received as approved requests
Quality Control and Troubleshooting

Create test cases and conduct quality control activities
Customer Support

Work with team members and others to help resolve production related issues expeditiously
Qualifications And Skills

Currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of a post-secondary program in one of the following fields: computer science, data science, business administration, commerce or finance
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
Experience with data visualization tools like SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau or Power BI
Experience in data manipulation and visualization using R or Python
Highly self-motivated and self-directed
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
