Company Description

Tip of the Tongue Speech & Language Therapy is a private practice providing speech and language therapy to children in the comfort of the client's home. We provide itinerant services across Greater Vancouver, the Tri-Cities and areas of the Fraser Valley. Our goal is to provide effective and evidence-based speech-language therapy services in a motivating, fun, and encouraging environment.

Role Description

We are looking for a warm, thoughtful, and conscientious speech-language pathologist (SLP) who is organized and adaptable. Our ideal candidate is dedicated to helping children achieve their goals, to growing as a professional, and to having fun in the process

This is a contractor position, providing you the flexibility to set your own days and hours, with a preference for candidates who are able to work evenings and/or weekends. This is a part-time position, with an approximate 2-5 hours/week to begin, and the ability to expand your hours at your own pace. We are seeking a SLP to support families in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. There is also the opportunity to support families in Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, New Westminster, and Burnaby if desired.

What You Bring:

  • Knowledge, skills, and confidence supporting children with a range of speech sound disorders, language disorders, stuttering, literacy skills, and developmental disorders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable prioritizing tasks and working independently
  • Excellent collaboration skills to contribute as a member of the client's therapeutic team
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Provincial licensure and registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Valid Canadian driver's license and access to a vehicle to drive between clients' homes
