Overview

Role Summary

We are seeking compassionate, reliable individuals to join our team as Sitter / Companion Care Providers. Under the guidance of a licensed physiotherapist, you will support seniors with daily structure, mobility, engagement, and overall wellness — without delivering medical or clinical care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being. Candidates with experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care environments are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Support safe mobility and walking programs under physiotherapist direction
• Assist with light household tasks (meal prep, tidy-up, laundry)
• Run errands, provide escort to appointments, support community engagement
• Monitor client safety and report concerns promptly
• Support clients with home exercise routines designed by physiotherapists
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Document visits and follow communication protocols

Experience

• Health-related degree or background is preferred.
• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care environments is preferred.
• Prior experience working as a physiotherapy assistant is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Strong background in providing compassionate direct support tailored to individual needs within long-term or community-based settings.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.70-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
