Synergie is currently seeking an Outside Sales Rep in Saskatoon, SK for our client, a leading distributor of pipes, valves and fittings. This is a permanent position, an excellent chance to join a growing and stable company. This role will be responsible for the development, servicing and maintenance of our customer account base and meet various sales targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop close relationships with decision makers at new and existing customers by making calls/visits and attending trade shows
  • Resolve customer/client issues/or problems liaise with inside sales, credit and warehouse
  • Providing accurate sales forecasting, meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Territory planning, calls and route planning to maximize sales
  • Identify, target and acquire new customer accounts
  • Accountable for monitoring customers credit and reporting to appropriate department
  • Participate in special sales functions and trade shows as require/requested
  • Assist on the order desk as required/requested
  • Remain current in company product
  • Prepare and generate reports as required/requested

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in customer service/sales capacity in related industry, preferably with background knowledge in mechanical/industrial pipe, valve and fitting
  • College Diploma in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Technologist (CET), Fire Protection Specialist or a related discipline
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal and negotiations/problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Intermediate level with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong math skills
  • Able to self manage
  • Available to travel on daily basis with some overnight travel as needed
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to travel within as well as outside of Canada
