Oakdale Child and Family Service Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Supervisor to lead one of our residential programs. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety, stability, and quality of care provided to children and youth, while supporting and guiding a team of frontline staff.
The Program Supervisor plays a critical role in day to day operations, staff supervision, and collaboration with families, schools, and external agencies. This position requires strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to manage complex situations with confidence, compassion, and accountability.

What You Will Be Responsible For
- Overseeing the daily operations of the residence to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Teach functional living skills and promote independence
- Implement and support behaviour management strategies
- Assist clients with daily routines and personal care
- Support community orientation, recreational activities, and leisure programming
- Transport and accompany clients to appointments as required
- Complete accurate data collection, progress notes, and required documentation
- Providing leadership, supervision, and guidance to residential staff, including coaching, problem solving, and performance support
- Ensuring appropriate staffing levels through scheduling, approving timecards and time off requests, and responding to staffing challenges
- Participating in an on call rotation and responding to after hours operational or staffing issues as required
- Acting as a liaison between families, schools, caseworkers, and community partners
- Completing monthly operational, safety, and compliance checklists and ensuring documentation standards are met
- Managing petty cash responsibly in accordance with financial procedures
- Carrying out primary worker responsibilities, including care coordination and participation in care planning
- Maintaining compliance with Oakdale policies, licensing requirements, and contractual obligations
- Communicating regularly with the management team regarding incidents, staffing, resident needs, and program operations
- Supporting positive workplace culture, professional communication, and accountability within the team
Qualifications and Experience
- Post secondary education in DSW, CYW, SSW, a related college/university degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two years of full time experience in residential services, special needs, or a related field
- Knowledge of the residential services sector and awareness of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) and Quality Standards Framework (QSF)
- Experience supporting neurodiverse individuals.
- Behaviour management or CPI training considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to provide leadership support to staff in a respectful and professional manner
- Strong team building skills
- Ability to liaise with external agencies and professionals
- Demonstrates a caring, respectful, and non judgmental approach
- Valid driver's license required
