The Primary responsibility of this role is the preparation for and the shipping of customer parts on a daily basis. This position will require the job holder to stand in as a driver of the Company delivery vehicle, in the event of the permanent driver being unable to do so. Job Related duties and responsibilities:

3.1 Pack finished goods into containers.

3.2 Prepare goods for shipment.

3.3 Pack parts following a specific set of instructions.

3.4 Clean and prepare containers for packing.

3.5 Check to ensure containers are damage free.

3.6 Verify if packed items are correct according to the packing slip.

3.7 Maintain database of packages.

3.8 Complete shipment records, either on paper or electronically or both.

3.9 Keep track of inventory.

3.10 Move parts to other parts of the warehouse as and when required.

3.11 Seal and label each container as per the customer requirement and CIL standard.

3.12 Move completed packages for loading.

3.13 Load different products or merchandise as required.

3.14 Count items being packed for shipping.

3.15 Drive to collect and deliver CIL parts from/to sub-contractors and processors.

3.16 Drive to and from Customers/Clients to collect and deliver parts as required.

3.17 Any reasonable driving duty using CIL resources.

3.18 Review and replenish packaging material. Report shortages to the Receiving Supervisor.

3.19 The Shipper is the final link between CIL and the Customer – The Shipper/Driver therefore needs to ensure that superior customer service is always top of mind and of the highest standard during the final delivery mile.

3.20The Shipper will be responsible for part marking duties as and when required.

3.21 The Company may from time to time require volunteers for various projects or sub-committee participation: Employees are encouraged to grab the opportunity as it provides not only functional support, but also aims to raise the community spirit at CIL and in our direct Community that we serve.

Education and experience requirements:

1.1 One to three years picking, packing, shipping and receiving experience required.

1.2 Forklift licensing and experience is a strong asset.

1.3 Valid Ontario Driver's License.

1.4 Clean Driving Record.

1.5 High school diploma.

1.6 Safety Oriented.

1.7 Must be physically able to lift up to 30lbs safely and comfortably.

1.8 Outstanding attendance and punctuality are must.

1.9 Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles would be considered an asset.

1.10 Strong communication and organizational skills.

1.11 Detail-oriented and transactional accuracy are must haves.

1.12 Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

1.13 Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.

1.14 Self-motivated and works well with team members.
