Junior Hairstylist

Job Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Hairstylist to join our salon team. This is a hands-on training position designed for individuals at the beginning of their hairstyling career wanting to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet clients warmly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the salon booking system
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon
• Assist senior stylists with preparing stations, washing hair, applying treatments, etc.
• Observe services performed by senior stylists and ask questions to build foundational knowledge
• Support inventory management and product organization
• Provide haircuts and other hair services to clients under the supervision of senior stylists
• Assist with shampooing, blow-drying, and basic styling
• Receive training in salon techniques, customer service, and health/safety practices
• Gradually learn and practice color application techniques
• Build confidence through supervised hands-on practice

Qualifications:

• Completion of hairstyling diploma program or equivalent
• Passion for hair styling and a desire to build a career in the beauty industry
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within a team
