The Opportunity:

Our client is a large-scale manufacturing organization (non-automotive) that is looking to add a Customs Manifest Coordinator to their team in Windsor, Ontario for a 6-Month Contract. The Customs Manifest Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Manager, Logistics and is primarily responsible for preparing, verifying, and coordinating compliant customs manifests and cross-border documentation for high-volume truck shipments to ensure timely and accurate border clearance.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

•Managing the full lifecycle of customs manifests and cross-border documentation for daily, high-volume truck shipments from creation through final release.

•Preparing and verifying multiple complex customs entries per truck, carefully transcribing critical shipment details such as reference numbers, weights, and package counts from digital sources to official customs paperwork.

•Ensuring strict compliance with cross-border requirements by generating system files, applying PAPS stickers, assigning the correct Broker Filer Codes (e.g., Livingston, iCustoms), and assembling documentation packets in proper order for border presentation.

•Coordinating with Production Supervisors and loading teams to confirm truck readiness, validate physical freight against manifest data, and generate required system barcodes.

•Communicating time-sensitive shipment information by scanning and distributing finalized manifest documents to customs brokers and trucking partners, including trailer details, entry volumes, and special clearance notes (e.g., FDA-regulated goods).

•Completing and preparing driver paperwork packages, including accurately filling out the OVER – Trailer Release Form with totals for skids, pieces, and weight by carrier and service type.

The Ideal Candidate:

•Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.

•3–5+ years of hands-on experience in outbound logistics, ideally within a high-volume manufacturing or e-commerce environment.

•Demonstrated experience handling customs documentation, cross-border shipping processes, and working directly with third-party customs brokers.

•Exceptional accuracy and focus, particularly when performing manual data entry and assembling compliance-critical documentation.

•Strong computer proficiency with experience using shipping, manifest, or logistics systems to build templates, declare trucks, and generate compliant paperwork.
