Overview

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances across regional and national routes
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
  • Ensure all freight is secured properly for transit to prevent damage during transportation
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
  • Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations

Skills

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Must have a valid USA visa
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
  • Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform vehicle inspections as required
