About the Opportunity:

We are partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary consulting firm operating across real estate, technical advisory, and professional services. The firm supports institutional clients, lenders, investors, and asset owners on complex real estate and development mandates.

This is a newly created role and represents a key strategic hire within the organization.

The Role:

The firm is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Appraiser with full independent signing authority to support commercial valuation mandates across Canada.

The role is based in Montréal, with regular travel required across Canada depending on client mandates and site inspections.

This position is commercial-focused only and requires someone who can operate fully independently from day one, without the need for supervision or co-signing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently prepare, sign, and deliver commercial real estate appraisal reports
  • Value a range of commercial asset types including office, industrial, multi-residential, land, mixed-use, and special-purpose properties
  • Apply Income, Direct Comparison, and Cost approaches as appropriate
  • Support multi-provincial and national appraisal mandates
  • Work directly with institutional, lender, and investor clients
  • Collaborate with internal technical and advisory teams on integrated mandates
  • Ensure compliance with professional appraisal standards and reporting requirements

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):

  • AACI designation
  • Authorized to independently sign commercial appraisal reports
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial real estate appraisal
  • Comfortable operating as a standalone appraiser
  • Strong analytical, report-writing, and communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel for site inspections as required

Note: Residential appraisal experience is not required for this role.
