Our client is a well-established Canadian company with over 50 years of experience providing high-quality doors, hardware, and detention equipment. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join the team. This role exists to support management and sales staff by handling estimates, schedules, purchase orders, and approvals, helping to relieve workload and ensure projects run smoothly.
The RoleAs a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with project managers and sales teams, supporting projects involving hollow metal and wood doors, detention doors, hardware, and specialty items. You will also assist with updating and organizing internal processes and systems. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, proactive, and technically proficient who enjoys working independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers with administrative and coordination tasks
- Support field sales staff with estimates, quotations, and project submissions
- Track and follow up on quotations, approvals, and project documentation
- Prepare submittal documentation and track approvals through the process
- Detail and schedule materials for ordering, including placing purchase orders
- Track project and order costing
- Participate in project meetings and attend project sites to verify materials and installation compliance
- Maintain accurate inventory counts
- Help develop and organize updates to internal processes and systems
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Train and coordinate with existing team members as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (French is an asset)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings
- AHC, DHT, DHC certifications are strongly desired due to industry standards; open to achieving these or in process of completing
- WHMIS, Health & Safety Awareness, Working at Heights training preferred
- Clean driving record required
- Police background check required
- Additional municipal, provincial, or federal background checks may be required depending on project scope (including Government of Canada Level II Secret; Level III Top Secret may be required for some projects)
- Competitive salary: $60,000- $65,000
