Our client is an employee-owned, award-winning, architectural practice firm with a proven track record in practical, innovative and economical design. They have designed some of Canada's most notable buildings.
With offices throughout Canada they serve both Canadian and international clients with the immediacy and attention of a local service. Their design influence can currently be found in eight of Canada's provinces, and in Nunavut.
The employee-owned firm is staffed with well over 100 experienced architects, designers, project managers, administrative staff, including LEED, Evidence-Based Design and LEAN accredited professionals, many of whom are dedicated to specific market sectors. They believe in personalizing the design experience for clients and maintaining a hands-on approach to projects. Every project they undertake has the direct involvement of Directors and Principals. Promoting mutual trust, they address the full scope of a facility's operational requirements, from addressing technology and space needs to optimizing everyday movements, as well as employee health, well-being and productivity. Their unique ability to provide truly meaningful services to our clients is largely derived from the partnerships that they foster with them.
ARCHITECTURAL PLANNER - Correctional / Detention Facilities
Qualifications and Education Requirements- Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's in architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years of planning experience required with proven experience in correctional or detention planning and knowledge of architectural design and code requirements.
- Proficiency with Revit is required.
- Strong presentation, communication, organizational, team building, collaboration and communication skills are a must.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Master of Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
