Landscaper/Labourer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor maintenance and construction projects. This role involves working in diverse environments to support landscape design, installation, and upkeep. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, enjoy working outdoors, and possess a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance.

We are seeking an individual that can show leadership skills amongst our crew and grow into a Foreman position with our growing companies needs.

Duties

• Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators
• Perform landscape installation tasks including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Conduct routine gardening activities such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and weed control
• Support landscape maintenance activities to preserve the aesthetic appeal of client properties
• Operate construction equipment safely and efficiently during project execution
• Assist with the installation of hardscape features like patios, walkways, and retaining walls
• Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience with landscaping, gardening, or horticulture is REQUIRED
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is a plus
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscape work
• Experience operating machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is desirable
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques is beneficial
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Contract length: 7-8 months

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
