Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices.
The hourly pay range for this position is $ $36.20.
Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.

Join Our Team as an Electrical Design Support (Co-op)
Are you passionate about Engineering Design? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for our Electrical Design team. The Electrical Engineering Support is responsible for MV Switchgear design and Protection & Control system design

Key Responsibilities

• Upgrade and maintain process software used for MES design and production control, which is developed with Visual Basic.
• Assist the engineering team in preparing drawings and wiring diagrams as needed.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Enrolled in an Electrical, Computer or Nanotechnology Engineering degree program.
• Available to work the Summer 2026, 4-month co-op work term.
• Self-starter with excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Fast learner with an aptitude for learning other company-specific software.
• Proficient with Microsoft software, specifically Excel, Word and MS Project.
• Programming skills with Visual Basic required.
• Knowledge of other software languages would be an asset.

Physical Effort
Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Work Environment
Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
