Banquet Porter/Server

The Best Western Plus Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre, a south London hotel (Lambeth) is seeking energetic and enthusiastic candidates for the position of Banquet Porter/ Server. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule that will include early morning start times and some early evening finish times. Some weekend availability may also be required. Candidates must be Smart Serve certified and must have their own transportation as the hotel is not located on a bus route.

Job Summary: Set, maintain and clean ballrooms, meeting rooms and public areas as required and as per event contracts and what business levels require. Deliver and provide Food & Beverage service to event guests in a professional manner while following quality standards.

Qualifications:

Smart Serve trained, excellent communication skills, above average organizational skills, ability to work well supervised and unsupervised, above average people skills, ability to anticipate guest needs and respond accordingly, professional appearance, some technical capabilities with regard to audio visual and computer operations, ability to multi task, experienced server, dependable and trustworthy.
