Part-Time Project Manager (Contract, ~20 Hours/Week)

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid – Onsite and Remote)

Compensation: Up to $65/hour

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization, is embarking on an exciting new capital project — the acquisition of land and construction of a new community facility. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee all phases of this initiative from feasibility through completion. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working flexibly on a part-time contract basis.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate the planning, acquisition, design, and construction of a new facility.
  • Manage relationships with consultants, contractors, and external partners.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and procurement processes.
  • Oversee risk management, permitting, and compliance requirements.
  • Report regularly to the board and senior leadership on project progress and financials.
  • Ensure the project aligns with the organization's mission, community goals, and fiscal responsibility.

About You

  • Proven experience managing capital projects or facility builds (preferably in the nonprofit or public sector).
  • Strong background in construction management, real estate acquisition, or project delivery.
  • Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable navigating government approvals, community engagement, and consultant coordination.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with board and leadership teams.
