We are seeking a professional, punctual, and kind carpenter/handyman, who is searching for employment in a people first, laid back atmosphere, to build our team AROUND.

As our business grows, the owner has less and less time to spend "on the tools" and we are searching for his replacement. Specializing in basements, bathrooms, and kitchens, we typically have 3 – 5 projects going at one time. The selected candidate will work with the Owner for two weeks on a "paid interview". After that, he/she will begin to take on more roles and take over duties on site as the Owner leaves for meetings etc. Large tools will be provided, however day to day tools (i.e hammer, tape measures, drills) would be considered an asset.

Day-to-day tasks include travelling amongst different job sites to ensure everything is ready for the next trades people as well as communicating with the homeowners to be sure everything is ready for the next phase. The role will also consist of certain installations such as Ikea cabinetry, mirrors, towel racks etc, small framing projects and so on.

Candidate MUST have experience and a a base level of knowledge in the following.

- Drywall (hanging and finishing)

- Painting

- Framing

- Door and trim work

- Tile, hardwood, laminate flooring

- minor plumbing

- Deck construction

- High quality finishing carpentry

REQUIREMENTS

- Must have a vehicle and valid G2 license

- 5 Years renovation / remodeling experience

The position is full-time and will begin immediately with a paid working interview period of one week. Wages based on experience, tools, etc.
