General Foreman

The General Foreman is responsible to provide direction to the Foremen and Quality Assurance (QA) /Quality Control (QC) on the day-to-day project activities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provide and impart technical knowledge and expertise to field level supervision and tradespeople.

· Coordinate construction and installation to maintain the construction schedule.

· Monitor work in progress, backlogs and workloads and make necessary recommendations.

· Handle construction and installation planning priorities to Foremen.

· Receive, handle and issue materials for the work.

· Initiate or complete receiving inspections,

· Conduct daily safety meetings, ensure adherence to work safety and safe work practices and provide direction on Pronghorn's safety policies and procedures.

· Monitor the work progress and quality.

· Communicate the need for inspections and tests.

· Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.

· Ensure that work performed includes any change of scope.

· Ensure that daily permits and client specific reports are completed

· Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

· Understanding of QA/QC practice and procedures.

· Attend daily progress meetings and communicate client expectations, requests, and concerns as appropriate.

· Maintain understanding of current operational and day to day activities.

· Communicate and coordinate with other trades.

Qualifications:

· Journeyman Electrician.

· 5 years of experience leading successful E&I construction projects preferably within the Oil and Gas Industry.

· Intermediate demonstrable skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
