Job Description

Carrying Place Golf and Country Club is located in the historic rural setting of King Township, Ontario and is a home away from home for our membership on the Oak Ridges Moraine. Established in 1958, this private 18-hole golf club offers only the best in golf course conditions on a daily basis.

We are seeking qualified, hardworking, self-motivated and passionate individuals to join and elevate our turf-care team by providing the playing condition standards that our membership has come to expect. Being part of this team will connect you with outdoorsy, like minded individuals, some of which enjoy playing golf.

Qualifications:

  • Have a positive attitude and be a team player.
  • Enjoy working early mornings and being done early.
  • Possessing a drivers' license is an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the game of golf is an asset but not required – we love teaching others the intricacies of the game.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective communication and cooperation with supervisors on a daily basis.
  • Positive attitude towards your fellow turf-care team members and club members.
  • Maintaining all areas of the golf course including (mowing and trimming turf, grooming bunkers and more)
  • Enjoy the Carrying Place turf-care team experience.

Compensation:

· Seasonal

  • Wage Range: $18-20 per hour
  • Eligibility: Must start in April/May and work through to Labour Day.
  • Entry level employees will receive $1/hr bonus for every hour worked if you complete your work term in good standing.
  • Negotiable based on experience.

Job Aspects:

  • 25 to 40 hours per week.
  • This role operates on a five-day schedule that includes one weekend day, with two consecutive days off
  • All on-site training provided.
  • Golf up to once per week can be arranged at appropriate times through a supervisor.
  • Golf shirt, sweater and water resistant jacket/pants provided.
