The Opportunity
Shape the World Around You – As a Civil Engineering Technologist / Technician in our St. John's, Newfoundland office, you'll contribute to projects that define tomorrow's communities. From municipal utilities to roadway upgrades, your expertise will help create sustainable, resilient infrastructure that makes a real difference.
Your Impact
- Prepare conceptual and detailed design layouts, sketches, and drawings for municipal infrastructure projects.
- Produce civil/municipal engineering drawings and 3D models that bring designs to life.
- Coordinate and review drawings across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure accuracy and integration.
- Develop precise quantity estimates to support project planning and execution.
- Monitor and inspect construction operations to ensure compliance with engineering design, site standards, and specifications.
- Investigate field and design challenges, providing clear, actionable reports.
- Liaise with clients, authorities, and contractors to maintain strong project relationships.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to uphold quality and safety standards.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited college.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on municipal infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with a passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment and collaborate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time.
- Familiarity with Department of Municipal and Community Affairs standards is an asset.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $66,700 - $88,400
MB & ON: $60,900 - $83,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,300 - $80,000
