Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent Position Schedule: 8-days on, 6-days off rotation with 12-hour workdays

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fabricate, install, and repair metal guarding, platforms, and structural components within the plant.
• Perform safe and efficient welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal structures and components using cutters, shapers, and precision measuring tools.
• Utilize MCAW and FCAW welding techniques to complete work to specification and quality standards.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment to ensure safe and reliable performance.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure alignment with safety and quality expectations.
• Complete all required safety documentation, including Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and risk assessments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with plant operations personnel to plan and execute work efficiently.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Qualification

• Red Seal Certification (Welder)
• A minimum of 4-5 years of related industrial experience, specifically in a maintenance capacity within a mining or similar heavy industrial environment.
• Completion of Grade 12.
• Valid Driver's License.

Technical Competencies & Skills

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 8x6 rotation.
• Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Physical fitness to perform labor-intensive tasks, including working at heights and in tight areas.
• Understanding of mining processes and mine monitoring control systems (operations and maintenance).
• Good English communication skills both oral and written.
• Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Proven safety and attendance record.
• Knowledge of computer maintenance systems.

Conuma Resources is proud to offer industry-competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package. The hourly rate for Red Seal Certified Welder is $58.00 per hour.
