Expected starting pay for candidates meeting posted requirements: $96,600 - $108,630 annually.

Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Paint Operations Manager to join Empire Envelope in Calgary, AB. You will be responsible to oversee the painting division's operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The Paint Operations Manager role involves team leadership, process optimization, safety compliance, and financial management while fostering client relationships and driving business growth. strong leadership and industry expertise.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily operations of the paint division to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Developing and implementing operational procedures to improve productivity and workflow.
- Monitoring project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Communicating with General Manager especially as it pertains to SupplyPro and on-site questions.
- Leading the Paint Site Supervisors, which includes aligning processes and procedures.
- Ensuring internal team maintains jobs notes and dates in JS, while also mentoring peers.
- Managing, mentoring, and training the paint division team, including supervisors and painters.
- Conducting performance evaluations and set clear goals for team members.
- Addressing and resolving any painting-related issues or deficiencies.
- Approving purchases of materials and equipment for painting projects.
- Upholding and protecting the high-quality standards of Empire Drywall Ltd. and ensuring that all work performed meets or exceeds these standards.
- Supporting business growth by identifying new opportunities and market trends.
- Representing Empire Envelope when dealing with builders, homeowners, and trades.
- Providing feedback to direct manager regarding our work, our trades, trade damage, site conditions, builder issues, etc.
- Maintaining weekly vehicle inspections, general vehicle cleanliness and maintenance, and reporting any vehicle concerns to your direct manager immediately upon notice.
- Ensuring hazard assessments are filled out and proper PPE is worn. Reporting any safety concerns to direct manager and / or safety department.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in painting or general construction.
- At least 1 year of previous experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational habits with experience in personnel management.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint) and SupplyPro or similar.
