Position: Carpenter for Custom Decks and Roof Structures

  • Location: Office in Oakville, projects throughout GTA
  • Salary: $30 - $45/hour, commensurate with experience

Role Overview:

As a lead carpenter, you'll spearhead daily construction activities, guiding your team and collaborating with our project manager to ensure excellence in every project. This role is for those who thrive in leadership, capable of training crew members, managing project timelines, and ensuring safety and quality on site. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients, manage project details, and provide exceptional craftsmanship will make you an essential part of our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage project timelines in collaboration with the crew leader.
  • Read blueprints, perform layouts, and operate both heavy and light construction equipment.
  • Provide leadership and training, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Engage with clients, offering top-notch service and communication.
  • Oversee workmanship quality, adhering to high standards and company values.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in framing and finish carpentry.
  • Own truck and tools, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills, hardworking attitude, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor work across various GTA locations, under diverse weather conditions.
  • Physically demanding role; must be able to lift, kneel, bend, etc.
  • Daily driving required, with paid travel time.
