Our team provides creative, cost effective and practical solutions to stakeholders in the power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. The Engineer must demonstrate vision and drive and be passionate about contributing to the growth of the Power Systems Advisory business in North America. Our approach reflects the equity, respect, and diversity we wish to see in the world.What You'll DoPerform electrical System Impact Studies such as Steady State, Dynamic and Transient Stability analyses for generation, large load interconnections in PSS/EPerform Short Circuit studies in ASPENPerform Voltage ride through (VRT) tests, dynamic model quality tests, model benchmarking Perform transmission planning & compliance assessments for bulk electric power system in PSS/E Produce and/or review technical reports and presentations for external Customers Timely completion of projects assigned while meeting project quality and project budgetDevelop or modify automation scripts to enhance the efficiency, speed and accuracy of technical simulationsStay up to date with relevant NERC, ISO/RTO planning procedures, policy changes and developments Contribute to the team's research and innovation activities in terms of development of new techniques and/or analytical tools to further the team's performance in terms of efficiency and/or capability improvementsCultivate customer relationships, technical advisory support for generations, and large load interconnections connecting to transmission systemThis role is based at our DNV office in Toronto (ON) or Montreal (QB) presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site.
