Hardware Engineer for Optical Link

Hyperlume is pioneering the future of AI infrastructure through revolutionary low-power, high-bandwidth optical interconnects using microLED and advanced packaging technologies. We're looking for a Hardware Engineer to be part of a teamworking on the design and development of Hyperlune optical interconnect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design complex, multilayer printed circuit boards.
  • Drive and manage your design through the development process from concept to production release
  • Lab bring-up and in-depth verification of hardware prototypes.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test procedures.
  • Define and implement validation strategies and manufacturing test plans for high-volume production readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with external partners across silicon, packaging, and fiber optics ecosystem to align technical milestones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD's in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing complex PCB designs.
  • Understanding of Ultra high-speed PCB circuit design and methodologies.
  • ٍxperience in high-speed interconnects, optical modules, or cable development.
  • Strong background in signal integrity, optical coupling, packaging integration, and system-level testing.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using optical test sets, signal analyzers, and GHz+ oscilloscopes for analysis of eye diagrams, phase noise, and overall signal quality.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of high-speed circuit and multi-layer PCB design
  • In depth understanding of all aspects of the hardware product development cycle including requirements, architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout, signal integrity, verification, and manufacturing
  • Hands-on debugging experience involving scopes, VNAs, signal generators, electronic loads.
