More about the role

• Own post–commercial‑release product support, including 3rd‑line manufacturing support, BOM/TPD maintenance, product changes, alternate component releases, and re‑approbation activities.

• Manage product configuration and engineering updates, including re‑engineering, customization, lifecycle change control in PLM, and accurate processing to SAP/ERP.

• Drive product and process optimization through root‑cause analysis, quality improvements, cost‑downs, digitization initiatives, and evaluation of new manufacturing technologies.

• Lead Engineering‑to‑Order (ETO) activities, including design, technical documentation, prototype builds, testing, and cross‑functional collaboration with Quality, Assembly, and Manufacturing teams.

• Provide technical expertise across installation/luminaire applications, connected systems, regulatory compliance, staff training, and ensuring adherence to safety and approval standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, offering strong grounding in product design, manufacturing processes, and core engineering principles.

• Up to 1 year of product engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to BOM management, technical documentation, and product lifecycle or process improvement support.

• Proficiency in computer‑aided drafting (CAD), with the ability to create detailed drawings, brackets, and other mechanical design elements.

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software, with existing familiarity considered an asset (training can be provided).

• Strong mechanical aptitude paired with critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to support design tasks and troubleshoot technical challenges effectively.
