Job Title: Volcker - BA Risk Specialist

Expected Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Mississauga, ON

Job Description:

We are seeking a Volcker – BA Risk Specialist to support the Volcker Rule Office (VRO) within Global Markets. This is a process-driven operations role focused on executing and maintaining Volcker governance controls and supporting regulatory compliance across trading desks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and maintain Volcker governance and control processes
  • Review, update, and maintain procedure and Desk Mandate documentation
  • Act as an SME on Volcker Rule requirements and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Partner with business, risk, compliance, and technology teams to assess Volcker implications of business changes
  • Support Risk Mitigating Hedging (RMH) reviews, documentation, and effectiveness assessments
  • Assist with regulatory exams, audits, and control testing
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and process improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • ~5 years of experience in risk, regulatory, or markets operations (not 10+ years)
  • Strong experience executing repeatable, process-intensive workflows
  • Knowledge of Global Markets / trading products (FI, Equities, FX, Commodities)
  • Understanding of front office trading processes and trade lifecycle
  • Volcker Rule / regulatory risk knowledge preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

  • Market or trading risk exposure
  • Experience with regulatory initiatives or control frameworks
  • Risk data analysis and reporting tools

Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's a plus)
