Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and efficient Back of House Staff to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation, and delivering exceptional service to our guests. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for the food industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle food safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while following proper procedures.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage cash handling processes accurately during peak service times.
  • Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and payment transactions.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience for customers.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet service demands during busy periods.
  • Provide support in inventory management by tracking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
  • Strong food handling skills with an emphasis on quality control.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
