Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Test Engineer with deep expertise in wireless networking and applied AI/ML. In this role, you will validate WiFi routers in both controlled and real-world environments, lead AI/ML-driven test automation and anomaly detection, and engage directly with customers to resolve complex issues. A strong customer focus is key—you will collaborate across teams and with end users to ensure product reliability, streamline live debugging, and deliver solutions that elevate the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform WiFi product testing in controlled wireless environments and real-world conditions.

· Debug and troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and stability issues.

· Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.

· Use tools such as IXIA Chariot, Iperf/Jperf, Wireshark, and analyzers for test execution.

· Apply AI/ML techniques for anomaly detection, performance prediction, and log analysis.

· Develop automation pipelines using Python and ML frameworks to reduce manual testing.

· Build AI-driven dashboards and visualization tools for real-time test insights.

· Collaborate with development teams to analyze root causes and verify fixes.

· Conduct regression testing to ensure product reliability after firmware/software updates.

· Implement ML-based decision-making in automated test execution and reporting workflows.

· Participate in the design and development of wireless testers and test setups.

· Support live customer debugging sessions and provide hands-on technical expertise for customer-facing issues.

· Document issues with clear, reproducible bug reports.

Required Qualifications

· BSEE or MSEE with GPA 3.0+

· 5+ years of professional experience in networking or wireless testing

· Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies standards, mesh networking)

· Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

· Hands-on experience with routers, APs, extenders, and IoT devices

· Strong grasp of TCP/IP and protocols (HTTP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, etc.)

· Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, or similar)

· Exposure to wireless/RF test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, VNA, Oscilloscope)

· Background in performance benchmarking, stress testing, and traffic simulation

· Familiarity with Linux command-line tools and shell scripting

· Experience with collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, GitHub)

· Excellent communication skills, with ability to document findings clearly and support live customer debugging sessions
