In this role as Project Manager, you will work on a variety of solar and solar + storage projects throughout North America. You will be exposed to the entire project life cycle, working with the biggest developers and financiers in space with cutting edge technology. The primary functions of these positions include supporting major customer accounts, performing project due diligence, managing projects, contributing to process improvements, sharing knowledge, obtaining and receiving feedback, and a bit of business development including developing proposals. Our teams work across all scales of projects, and depending on your experience and interest, you would focus on residential, distributed generation, or utility scale systems.
DNV is the world's leading renewable energy consultant. DNV's Solar team holds a substantial market position for independent engineering services to support the financing and construction of solar and solar + storage projects in North America, and our staff are viewed as experts and thought leaders in the industry. In this role, our team provides technical consulting and independent engineering services for solar project developers, financial institutions, and investors who rely on our reports as part of their investment decision making process.

This role is based at our DNV office in Toronto (ON), Montreal (QB) or Calgary (AB), presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend at least three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.
The position may also be considered at other DNV offices within Canada.
What You'll Do
- Initiate and coordinate the technical review process among internal specialists including civil and electrical engineering, energy assessment, technology, and permitting teams, and synthesizing and writing due diligence reports
- Perform overall project management activities and ensure excellent customer communication as the key point of contact for the execution of due diligence engagements
- Perform portions of due diligence reviews, including contract and financial model reviews, and synthesis of inputs from technical disciplines, as well as other reviews and analysis within your expertise
- Discuss and resolve technical issues with project developers, lenders, and investors, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialists
- Develop and win proposals for scopes of services related to due diligence work
- Coordinate or perform DNV construction monitoring and site visit activities
- Support customers through the financial closings of projects
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts including leading tool development, process refinement, digitization efforts, and lessons learned activities
- Advance team and industry thought leadership

Ce que tu vas faire
- Initier et coordonner le processus d'examen technique parmi les spécialistes internes, y compris les équipes de génie civil et électrique, d'évaluation énergétique, de technologie et d'autorisation, ainsi que de synthèse et de rédaction de rapports de due diligence
- Effectuer les activités globales de gestion de projet et assurer une excellente communication client en tant que point de contact clé pour l'exécution des missions de diligence raisonnable
- Effectuez des parties des revues de due diligence, y compris les revues de contrats et de modèles financiers, ainsi que la synthèse des contributions des disciplines techniques, ainsi que d'autres revues et analyses dans votre domaine d'expertise
- Discuter et résoudre les questions techniques avec les promoteurs de projets, prêteurs et investisseurs, y compris la coordination des contributions de spécialistes techniques internes
- Développer et gagner des propositions pour des champs d'application de services liés au travail de due diligence
- Coordonner ou effectuer la surveillance de la construction et les visites de chantier du DNV
- Soutenir les clients lors de la clôture financière de projets
