Job Overview
We are seeking a 1st or 2nd year Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. We currently have a part time position of 2-3 days a week available, that can flex up to 5 days a week during high volume or when our current technicians are back in school. So, if you are looking to get your foot in the door, this is your opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise and customer service skills to ensure vehicles are repaired to the highest standards, contributing to customer satisfaction and safety.
Duties
- Perform automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, and suspension work
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
- Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics for accurate repair procedures
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed during repairs or upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed for each vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
Skills
- Proven experience or mechanic experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics
- Capable of heavy lifting safely during parts handling or vehicle repairs
- Familiarity with vehicle assembly processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
