Reporting to the Director, Finance Operations, the Finance Operations Analyst works within the Finance function to operationalize new business initiatives and streamline existing processes with the goal of optimizing efficiency. You are a well-rounded individual and have been recognized for your ability to turn business concepts into actionable, established processes. You want your high-impact deliverables to guide the development of new business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of finance operations processes and transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and define business initiative/project requirements, scope and objectives.
  • Monitor and track progress and handle any issues that arise.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants.
  • Develop tools, templates and procedural documentation.
  • Ensure success of initiatives/projects by driving day to day finance operations through the timely coordination of task assignments across the broader Finance team.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business priorities and impact.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project timeline and internal control risks.
  • Engage with senior Finance leaders to identify and maintain a backlog of continuous improvement opportunities and initiate projects to realize these improvements.
  • Appreciate the technical differences between all business lines and related finance processes.
  • Keep a pulse on digital technologies available (such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI)) in the market that can help drive digital transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, or Masters, in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3-5 years experience working in finance or accounting with a focus on operations management or finance transformation.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze data to draw appropriate conclusions
  • Strong project management skills.
  • A background of successfully contributing to change initiatives & driving process/continuous improvement.
  • A proven ability to learn quickly, absorb complicated concepts, and not afraid to ask questions.
  • A proactive, "service-first" attitude combined with superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships in a fast-paced environment, while demonstrating persistence, persuasiveness, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Time Management Skills. Ability to work under time constraints and within short deadlines and can multi-task and deal with several projects simultaneously.
  • Results-driven; Quality oriented. Strong attention to detail and quality, followed through to project completion.
  • Professionalism, positive attitude, and the ability to work well with diverse perspectives are keys to success in this position.
