The successful applicant will play a critical role in maintaining robust data solutions that support our business operations and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure databases on AWS cloud platforms.
- Perform database administration tasks including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational databases.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place for critical databases.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries, stored procedures, and overall database performance.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS, scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, and PL/SQL to facilitate data integration and migration.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data in compliance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design and support application development efforts.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting to improve efficiency and reliability of database operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational databases.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services related to databases such as RDS, Aurora, or DynamoDB.
- Expertise in high availability architectures and disaster recovery planning.
- Proficiency in database design, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools like SSIS and scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, and general scripting for automation purposes.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.

Pay: $42.73-$55.00 per hour
