JEM Strapping Systems is Canada's only manufacturer of steel strapping, proudly 100% Canadian owned and operated, serving industrial customers across construction, steel, logistics, forestry, and manufacturing markets.

This role offers a unique opportunity to build brand visibility and support sales growth for both JEM Strapping Systems (Canada) and its U.S. subsidiary, American Strapping Company, providing exposure to both Canadian and U.S. markets.

Job Summary

The Marketing & Social Media Specialist will support brand awareness, digital marketing, and sales enablement initiatives through content creation and social media management.

This is a hands-on, entry-level to early-career role, ideal for a recent graduate or junior marketing professional looking to gain practical experience in a manufacturing and B2B environment.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Marketing

  • Manage and grow social media accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Create and post content including:
  • Product overviews and demonstrations
  • Manufacturing and behind-the-scenes content
  • Customer testimonials
  • Short-form video and visual content
  • Develop and follow a consistent posting schedule
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments or inquiries

Content Creation & Brand Support

  • Work with internal teams in Canada and the United States to gather content
  • Assist with marketing campaigns tied to sales and promotions
  • Support basic photo, video, and graphic content creation
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across platforms

Analytics & Performance Tracking

  • Track social media engagement and website traffic
  • Provide basic performance reports and insights
  • Support basic SEO and digital performance monitoring

Sales Enablement

  • Create marketing content to support sales efforts
  • Help position JEM as the only Canadian manufacturer of steel strapping
  • Suggest ideas to increase customer engagement and brand visibility

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 1+ years' experience preferred (Recent graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply).
  • College diploma, certificate, or degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, Content Creation, or a related field
  • Equivalent practical experience (internships, co-op, freelance, or personal projects) will also be considered
  • Experience using social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to create written, visual, and video content
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing, analytics, or SEO (training can be provided)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in an in-person manufacturing environment
