Personal Injury Litigation Support
(economic loss quantification, accident benefit calculations),
Fraud Examination

.

Our practice involves disputes arising from personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, fraud investigations, and valuation matters. We are seeking a
junior-level, full-time associate
with an accounting background who has a strong interest in
forensic accounting, litigation support, and business valuation
, and who is eager to develop technical skills in a specialized professional services environment.

This role is well suited for a
recent graduate or early-career accounting professional
who will work closely with senior forensic accountants and gain exposure to a wide range of forensic and valuation engagements.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and support of forensic accounting and business valuation engagements, including:

  • Assisting in the preparation and drafting of
    forensic accounting and litigation support reports
  • Supporting
    personal injury income loss and accident benefit quantification analyses
  • Data entry, organization, and reconciliation
    of financial information
  • Reviewing financial data,
    facts, assumptions, and calculations
    under supervision
  • Assisting with
    business valuation engagements
    , including:
  • Preparing schedules and supporting calculations
  • Reviewing financial statements and source documents
  • Conducting basic valuation research
  • Conducting
    financial, economic, and industry research
    relevant to engagements
  • Reviewing and summarizing
    personal and corporate financial records
  • Maintaining organized working paper files and supporting documentation
  • Supporting senior team members across
    other forensic accounting, valuation, and litigation support assignments
    , as required

Qualification Requirements

  • College diploma or Bachelor's degree
    in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience
  • (Experience in accounting, auditing, insurance, litigation support, or financial analysis is an asset but not required)
  • Basic understanding of
    accounting principles
  • Proficiency in
    Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work
    independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn
  • Interest in
    forensic accounting, business valuation, and litigation support

Assets (but not required):

  • CPA candidate status or intention to pursue CPA, CFE, or CBV
  • Prior exposure to personal injury, insurance, or valuation work

Probation Period

  • This position includes a
    three (3) month probationary period
    , during which performance, fit, and competency will be assessed.

    CA$45,000 – CA$58,000 per year
