What You'll Be Doing

As a Consultant, Analytics Engineer you will be a key member of the Enterprise Analytics Platforms and Services team,  working with business partners and stakeholders from various Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Functional Groups (FGs) to provide expertise on Analytics, Visualizations, Data pipelines. You will deliver day-to-day support to our business partners across the bank with Analytics solution development and manage escalations and priorities. The role will also be responsible for continuous optimization of processes in JIRA, to support greater automation and effectiveness. 

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. 

How you'll Succeed

  • Support Data and Analytics initiatives - Design and build end-to-end Analytics and AI solutions that includes data modeling, orchestration and pipeline services, data visualization utilizing various tools and cloud technology (Power BI, Databricks, Alteryx etc.). Consulting and upskilling other analytics teams on the tools, best practice, analytics standards to promote secured self-service operational model.
  • Transformational Delivery – Lead the Jira support activities for the team including enhancement to tracking and reporting, updating and improving process flow and forms. 
  • Support Data and Analytics continuous improvement - Identify opportunities to automate, streamline processes that will bring in efficiency in data reporting and analytical environments, lessen manual intervention and increase end user efficiency.
  • Leadership - Partner with cross functional groups fostering BI/ Analytics research and innovation culture. You put our clients first. You engage with purpose to find the right solutions. You go the extra mile because it's the right thing to do.
  • Storytelling – you possess presentation, interactive/analytical skills sufficient to convey both factual and conceptual information. Business analysis and consulting skills to precisely articulate & understand business challenges and goals that involve interpretation, analysis, assessment, and implementation

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate. Practical knowledge and hands on experience around Analytics Engineering, Big Data, Cloud environment (Azure, GCP).​ You Have 2+ years' experience with Power BI,  Tableau, Alteryx, JIRA, T-SQL.
