Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Mariposa House Hospice is seeking Casual PSWs to join our amazing team.

Mariposa House Hospice (MHH) is a charitable organization that operates a comfortable, safe, homelike hospice residence in Severn Township serving the Couchiching area including Orillia, Severn, Oro-Medonte, Ramara, and Chippewas of Rama First Nation. The atmosphere is welcoming; it is a quiet and comfortable space where people receive specialized support at end-of-life while surrounded by family members and friends. This is made possible by a collaborative team of staff, volunteers and community partners.

We offer PSWs a setting to have meaningful work and the chance to make a difference in the lives of people who step through our doors. We are committed to providing a workplace that is safe, supportive and allows our PSWs to provide the kind of care they entered the profession to provide.

Who You Are:

  • Personal Support Worker certification
  • Experience and passion working in palliative and end-of-life care
  • Palliative care education
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of the hospice team

Pay Scale: $24.95-$29.65

Expected Start/End Date: Start ASAP

Time Commitment: Provide availability for 2 weekends per month and at least 2 days of availability per week (excluding weekends). Flexibility to pick up sick calls with short notice is required.
