T&T Supermarket Inc. was found in 1993 with two stores in BC.  Since then, it has expanded rapidly to become Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 29 stores across the country: 13 in Metro Vancouver, 6 in Alberta, and 10 in Ontario (8 in GTA and 1 in Ottawa, 1 in Waterloo).

The Role

Reporting to the Grocery Department Manager (or his/her delegate), the Grocery Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Department Manager and his/her delegate in providing guidance, supervision and sets as a good example for Grocery Associates to follow.

Major Responsibilities

1. Conduct quality control during receiving, manage inventory and product quality for all products (grocery, cooler & frozen goods), follow FIFO concept; ensure full display of various grocery products
2. Provide guidance and supervision to Grocery Associates; assist department manager to train department staff
3. Follow procedures to process expired products and manage shrinkage
4. Greet customers by providing good customer service with smile, friendly enthusiasm
5. Assist customers in selecting grocery products and provide recommendations to them, as required
6. Ensure workplace cleanliness, wash and maintain relevant work tools are clean and well-kept
7. Handle customers' complaints, build rapport with our customers by providing good smile, eye contact and attention to them
8. Lead by example by performing duties of Grocery Associates as required
9. Familiar with the location of various grocery items; keep self-updated with all in Grocery Department promotion activities
