Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Construction handyman person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for construction, renovations, repairing, and improving the physical condition of our facilities. This role requires a versatile individual capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the overall upkeep of our property.

Duties

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, drywall/plastering and painting.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify issues early.
  • Assist with installation of fixtures, appliances, and other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across all work areas.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
  • Keep detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with contractors or vendors for specialized repairs or projects when necessary.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a construction person or in a similar construction role preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic construction trades such as, carpentry, drywall/plastering, tiles and painting techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining a safe and functional environment. Candidates should be adaptable, dependable, and eager to contribute their skills to support our operations efficiently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
