Overview

Pantheon is seeking an experienced Systems Technician – Maintenance to support a major Oil & Gas client at the Norman Wells site. This is a safety-focused maintenance role supporting process control systems, site networking, and communications infrastructure in a remote operating environment.

Summary

The Systems Technician – Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the Process Control Systems

(PCS) and PI systems, performing preventative maintenance, supporting site control system strategy, and ensuring compliance with Industrial Control System Requirements (ICSR). The role requires strong technical ownership, effective communication, and collaboration across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, and contractor teams. Key Responsibilities Systems & Control Maintenance

  • Maintain and support
    Process Control Systems
    and
    PI systems
    .
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on control systems equipment.
  • Support short- and long-term strategies for controls equipment reliability.
  • Administer and ensure compliance with
    Industrial Control System Requirements (ICSR)
    .
  • Support
    Alarm Management
    and
    Control of Operations (COP)
    processes, including meetings and follow-up actions.
  • Implement and sign off on
    Management of Change (MOC)
    activities.
  • Update redlines and drawings related to systems and project work.

Control Systems & Platforms (Required)

  • DeltaV DCS
  • Schneider ProWorx 32
  • Allen-Bradley control systems

Networking & Communications

  • Support
    systems networking
    , including
    Cisco Systems
    and all relevant networking protocols.
  • Provide stewardship of
    site radio systems
    to ensure reliable operation.
  • Manage
    radio licenses
    (handhelds, etc.) and liaise directly with contract radio specialists.
  • Respond to radio calls related to systems responsibilities (e.g., permit suspensions, TDs).

Cross-Functional & Site Support

  • Work closely with Operations, Facilities Engineering, Maintenance Leads/Supervisors, IT, and contractors.
  • Provide contractor interface awareness and support direct supervision plan development.
  • Assist the planning group with job scoping and execution planning.
  • Close out work orders and line items in
    SAP
    .
  • Maintain systems-related spare parts inventory.
  • Support onsite initiatives such as hardware troubleshooting, computer ports, training laptop setup, and cybersecurity tasks.
  • Attend monthly IT meetings.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist other trades as workloads allow (Instrumentation, Electrical, etc.), as qualified, including time on tools and SAP closures.
  • Support bio pass setup and access requirements as needed.
